Pete Shibby describes the final prep for his sled puller just before the 2013 McHenry County Fair in Illinois.
I brought it down here for some Dyno tuning. The numbers were way more than I was expecting and I thank the people the sponsored me this year as well with the truck and hoping for a good season. I just want to thank Nick and the team over here at Duramaxtuner and Cummins-Tuner. I was thankful for all their help and patience working with me on this thing and we’ll see how it does this weekend.
I won that full two years in a row. I’m aiming to do it three years in a row. I’m just going to get out there and rev her up and give her hell and see how it does. I’m not expecting to win but if I do, it’d definitely be great. I really think it’s possible with what the truck is capable off right now.
At the last second when I got on the line, I calmed down and I realized I had to do what I had to do and I just gave it all hell and it worked. That’s my first time ever time ever pulling a manual transmission before and it worked.
I was shaking in my boots. That was freaky. But I’m so happy. He put his heart and soul into that.
It’s still in one piece too, that’s the best part.
